This experience allows our young people to not only showcase the skills they’ve developed, but also build confidence, gain exposure within the industry and, importantly have fun and make some amazing memories. The AHT competition is a great way to support our learners to foster creativity, experience healthy competition and be provided with a motivational platform to advance their career aspirations. I am delighted that we have nine students progressing to the finals and I wish them the very best of luck.”
Enya Bessin, Hairdressing Lecturer added: “Our students’ impressive performances, reflected in the outstanding results, have undoubtedly boosted their confidence and reinforced their abilities. We are immensely proud of every student who represented TGI with professionalism, hard work, and passion for their industry.
“We extend our thanks to Highlands College, along with Pawel and his team, for the warm hospitality and seamless organisation, ensuring a fantastic experience for all participants. The event was a tremendous success, and we eagerly look forward to welcoming Highlands College students to Guernsey in 2026 when we will have the privilege of hosting the regional heat. A special thank you also goes to our generous sponsors, whose support makes opportunities like this possible.”
