Calling all apprentices
Next year will be the 70th year since the introduction of the Guernsey Apprenticeship scheme. We are planning a number of events during 2019 to celebrate this impressive landmark and we need your help.
We would love to hear from anyone who has graduated from the college with an apprenticeship over the last seven decades so that we can tell their stories, illustrate how the scheme has evolved over those years without changing its fundamental ethos of training individuals to develop skills and to follow a career in their chosen profession within the island.
“Our apprentices, wherever they are, have provided a huge amount of value to our local community, so we’re looking for people who’ve been an apprentice at Guernsey College of Further Education. Ideally I want somebody from every one of those 70 years to talk to us about their story and their career after becoming an apprentice, and we will be celebrating that next year.”
If you have graduated with an apprenticeship from Guernsey College of Further Education anytime in the last 70 years, and want to get involved, please get in touch. We would love to hear from you and for you to be part of the celebration.
