2017 is the Chinese Year of the Rooster

The college is hosting a Celebration of Chinese Culture on Saturday 4 March at Les Ozouets Campus from 2pm to 4.30pm. The island has been benefiting from the teaching skills of two Chinese nationals for the last two years and, as the island continues to develop successful business relationships with the region, this event will educate us all about the Chinese culture and traditions.

It’s a free event and open to all the family with lots things going on, Chinese food to sample, displays, and the chance to have a go at some Chinese arts.

A detailed schedule of the afternoon’s events will follow but as a taster here is what we have planned for you to do so far:

Have a go at Chinese calligraphy

Give the art of paper cutting a go

Try some Chinese food
